Freeing a locked up deer is one thing but trying to "shoo" the freed deer away is another.
Two hunters from Bow Madness Outdoors are lucky to have made it home safely after this encounter. While walking through the woods they stumbled upon two bucks that were locked together by their antlers. One buck was already dead but the other was still alive. After they unlocked the two, the freed deer refused to leave.
That's when the camera started rolling and things got interesting. Here they are trying to "shoo" off the freed deer.
While their intentions were good, their execution may not have been the best. You have to applaud them for freeing up the deer to give it a chance to live, but then getting close to the freed deer that soon after a fight, and during the rut, is not a smart move. They were lucky to come out of that unscathed.
Hopefully the freed deer managed to go bed down and will recover to be hunted another day.
