The Northern Lights are a breathtaking spectacle of colors. Adding humpback whales to the mix makes this scene that much more incredible!
Norwegian camera operator Harald Albrigtsen definitely had luck on his side. Not only did he capture the sky and water's surface awash with the color green, but also a group of humpback whales merrily swimming beneath the dazzling display.
The Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, are the result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere.
For those that have been lucky to view this wondrous show, it is one memory that will never be forgotten.
Anyone else jealous of Albrigsten's bucket list? Definitely hard to top that breathtaking sight!
