Everyone wants that big catch immortalized in a grip 'n grin photo. This tuna made things a little difficult.
We all know that, especially when catch and release fishing, the coveted photographic proof is really the only way you can legitimize a successful day on the water. Few people will believe you without at least a snapshot of your fish, and with a cell phone in nearly every pocket, there's no lack of this sort of evidence.
But sometimes the simple selfie requires a lot more effort. Case in point: this video.
What do you make of that? Some fish never seem to quit fighting, do they?
The video was great for a laugh, but there's some seriousness involved here, too. There's a proper way to lift, hold and release a fish that not everyone knows about. Real damage can be done, and though it's likely to be unintentional, it pays to know the right way to go about a fish selfie.
