High School Fishing on the Horizon? [VIDEO]

Many programs strive to introduce fishing to a younger generation, and high school fishing competitions are a great way to pique their interest.

The Student Angler Federation’s High School Fishing program is generating interest among teens.

Through the program, student fishing clubs from high schools compete against one another within their state. The competition extends to regional and national competitions as well.

Students who belong to the SAF can also compete in the High School Fishing World Finals. In 2015, the world finals will be held on Pickwick Lake in Alabama, July 6 through 11.

The SAF, which started in 2011, is a partnership between The Bass Federation and FLW Outdoors. Since its debut, the SAF has doubled in size every year.
