With the previous release of the Glock 42 in .380 ACP. cartridge, the G43 in 9mm will likely be their next hot seller. The gun boasts impressive accuracy and comfort for all shooters despite hand size or other specific differences.
"The G43 is the most exciting product release to date because it addresses a variety of issues that many shooters face with pistols in the concealed carry category," said GLOCK, Inc., VP Josh Dorsey in the official press release. "It will be the pistol of choice for law enforcement and civilians. The G43 sets a new standard for concealed carry pistols."
One of the slimmest handguns of recent memory, the G43 has a slide width of 0.87 inch and a frame width just over one inch. Overall the gun has 6.26 inches of length.
Up until now, a subcompact 9mm pistol was of the double stack magazine variety. This led to a larger grip size and concealed carry issues due to the thickness of the pistol.
The G43's standard magazine capacity is six rounds. Plans are for the G43 to make its official debut at the NRA Annual Meeting on April 10-12, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee.
