Police and wild boar face-off on residents' front porch, and you thought you had a rough day.
The Greer family had an unusual start to the day recently add police and wild boar had a standoff.
Daughter, Emilee Greer, saw the boar on her front porch promptly called police and that's when things got hog wild.
As you just saw in this news clip, the police and wild boar standoff ended with the killing of the hog just steps from the Greer's property.
Petal Animal Warden Rick Varner told reporters, "When you are faced with a wild animal, especially a boar with tusks, that hog could cut you up to the point that you bleed out. If you don't know how to handle it, then you need to call the police department so they can handle the situation."
These police knew the boar was dangerous and that's why they avoided it until they could get a clean shot. Now that you've seen how close these animals came to this home, keep an eye out for them at your own house.
