New Jersey has had so much rain that carp can swim up streets from Newark Lake.
Like most of the country right now, New Jersey is getting pounded by heavy rain fall. So much in fact, that Lake Newark and the surrounding streets are flooded enough for carp to swim up them.
Local news station WABC in Newark caught some crazy footage of a man rescuing carp from the receding street waters to return them to the lake.
It would be crazy to be walking down the streets of Newark to look down and see fish swimming up the street. This would also be one of the only times you could cast a line into flooding street waters and actually catch a fish.
Hopefully there are more people like the guy in the report catching them all and releasing them back into the lake. If not, the streets are going to reek from stranded, dead carp that didn't make it back.
