How Fast Can You Shoot 100 Rounds of 7.62×39?

Jerry Miculek is at it again. Apparently, he’s got too much 7.62×39 ammo.

For this test, Jerry is shooting a model 249s FN semi-automatic rifle. He’s attempting to put 100 rounds of 7.62×39 ammo downrange as fast as possible.

Watch the video to see his unorthodox method for rapid fire and how quickly he can complete the challenge.

“That right there, guys, was a job.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Not only did Jerry have to deal with the fairly stout recoil of the 7.62×39, he also endured the pain of receiving blow after blow from the spent casings. Good job, Jerry.

While it’s sometimes fun to do a test like this at the range, most of us don’t have Jerry’s problem of “too much ammo.” Therefore, we’re better off focusing on putting every shot on target from the shooting position we’re most likely to encounter in real life, whether we are defending our homes or taking aim at a big buck or bull.
