Families of nine victims of the Newtown, Conn., school massacre have filed a lawsuit against Bushmaster, the maker of the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle.
The lawsuit claims civilians should not own the weapon.
As reported by The Associated Press," a lawsuit has been filed against the maker of the Bushmaster AR-15 and the sellers of the rifle, one of the weapons used in the shootings.

The lawsuit also names the sellers of the AR-15 as defendants, including firearms distributor Camfour, and the now closed gun shop named Riverview Gun Sales. The shooter's mother bought the rifle from Riverview Gun Sales in 2010.
The shooter, Adam Lanza, shot and killed his mother before his rampage at the school, then committed suicide as police approached.
