The Extreme Huntress Competition is an annual contest that crowns one woman the Queen of Hunting. This year four finalists were sent to the 777 Ranch in Hondo, Texas to prove their hunting prowess.
The competition produced an 11 episode web series documenting their journey to prove their worthiness of the title Extreme Huntress. The four finalists had to compete in shooting challenges with targets, hunting challenges with various exotic species and even a biathlon. Olivia Nalos Opre and Larry Weishuhn judged the finalists; they were scored in each event based on a specific set of criteria. The winner will be chosen based on a combination of the judges' scores and online voting.
The final episode can be viewed below, and the four finalists are:
Cheyenne Dahlberg of Alaska
Candace Crick of Oklahoma
Amanda Lowery of Idaho
Mindy Arthurs of Arizona
At the heart of the Extreme Huntress competition is the promotion of women in the outdoors.
The goal of this contest is to promote positive role models for women in the outdoors. More women involved in hunting not only helps preserve our hunting heritage but it also helps encourage their children to join in as well.
