Watch this fisherman show us how to use a slingshot-type method to get a treble hook out of a tree.
This fine-fishing gentleman has thrown his bait around more than one cypress tree and can feel the pain of getting snagged as well as anyone.
If you haven't seen this method before, this fisherman has graciously shared it with the rest of us!
Here's what it looks like:
It appears that he grabs the line in his right hand, close to the reel, and then again with his left a bit further down. He then, in a pendulum motion, swings the entire rod, tip first, into the water towards the snagged lure breaking it free.
Obviously you don't want to let go, and you need to be right on top of the snag, but that sure worked well! Big thanks to this bayou fisherman for showing this trick to us, and reminding others how well it works.
