This sea serpent found in Australia looks like what nightmares are made of.
People near Lake Macquarie located in New South Wales, Australia got quite a fright when rumors of a strange creature that was found washed ashore started to circulate. T
his creature, which looks like a cross between a dragon and a dolphin, had razor sharp teeth and snake like skin. Many believe it's a creature that could only be found in Australia.
Father Ethan Tipper was the passerby that happened upon the creature. Not knowing what it was, he quickly snapped a few pictures and posted it online to see what the world of social media might think. Since that time, the pictures have gone viral and lots of speculation has emerged as to what it could be.
However, one man has a real good idea what it might be. Australian Museum fish collector Mark McGrouther told reporters it was a pike eel.
'This is the first time I have ever seen one of them in the flesh," McGrouther said. "I suspect it was caught and discarded by fisherman who got more than they bargained for when they tried to reel it in."
Either if this is real or not, something like this is probably still only found in Australia.
