The 2015 Fly Fishing Film Tour – Coming to a City Near You
The Fly Fishing Film Tour – F3T – is underway, and there’s a good chance it makes a stop somewhere near you.
Nearly 80 showings are planned in the U.S. and four more in Canada. To find an event near you, view the tour schedule and purchase tickets on the F3T web page.
At many stops, the F3T is partnered with a local fly shop or conservation organization to offer discounted tickets, and a portion of the proceeds goes to support local fishing education and conservation efforts. Over $300,000 was donated by the Tour in 2014.
Attendance has increased by 30% each year since the first Fly Fishing Film Tour. Last year, over 50,000 anglers attended an F3T event, and organizers rewarded those cities that have long supported the event with larger venues of greater capacity.
A dozen films are on tap this year, touching on topics as varied as the potential impacts of global warming on the future of fly fishing; to the connection between the fisheries of the Florida Keys and Cuba; to the story of a man finding help with his PTSD struggles through Project Healing Waters; to breaking the bonds of our obsession with technology with some Louisiana redfishing.
Trout, bonefish, salmon, steelhead, dolphinfish, and even carp star in the selection of films at the 2015 Fly Fishing Film Tour.
Check out the trailers for all 12 films at the F3T web site.
