Here's another cool way to practice your archery skill: Hit a floating, jiggling ping pond ball in mid-air.
This fun archery trick shot target gadget looks extremely easy to build. The videographer lists only four main components:
- 12V air blower
- 12V battery
- PVC piping
The air from the hair dryer keeps the ping pong ball bouncing more or less in one spot, but with enough jiggling to keep it challenging. It looks like he's at about 30 feet when he shoots, having a few VERY close shots before nailing the bouncing ball.
Pausing the video on the image of the machine should tell you all you need to know in order to replicate it.
One thing I thought could be improved was the fact that the archer had to walk back and forth each time he knocked the ping pong ball down. Perhaps you might come up with some other gadget to replace a ping pong ball each time it's knocked down (or enlist someone to run back and forth for you?).
