DARPA Shows Off First-Ever Guided .50-Caliber Bullets [VIDEO]

You read that right: here's the first-ever guided .50-caliber bullets.

DARPA, or the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, has unveiled the Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance (EXACTO) system, which actually helps guide bullets and ultimately improve things like sniper effectiveness.

In all seriousness, the EXACTO 50- caliber round and optical sighting technology will likely extend the day and nighttime range over current sniper systems, and go a long way towards maximizing human effectiveness while capitalizing on the capabilities of modern technology.
