A couple that fishes together, stays together.
A couple that has been fishing together for almost 50 years landed the largest catfish that has ever came out of Fort Gibson Lake, Oklahoma.
Denver and Jessie Harless, ages 70 and 65, have fished together for most of their adult lives. When they hauled in this 74-pound blue catfish, they knew it was big. Considering the previous Oklahoma lake record for Fort Gibson Lake was only 56.5 pounds, they were right.
In this video, a local news channel interviews the husband and wife fishing team as they show off their impressive catch.

The battle with the giant blue lasted almost an hour and required a team effort. Unfortunately, since they both participated in reeling it in, it isn't eligible for an official state record since the books clearly state a fish has to be caught by only one angler.
However in this case, the fish was so big, there wasn't much choice.
