The chart topper and gun-lover wore these incredible shoes to the Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony on Sunday.
Miranda Lambert is not only renowned for her singing abilities. She is also known for her love of firearms and displaying them in her wardrobe.
At Sunday's ACM Awards, she wore $849 "Come-And-Take-It" hot pink gun shoes. They were designed by Joyce Echols. As a result, the gun-and-holster shoes lit up social media.
Even Miranda Lambert's shoes are to die for....
Lambert gave the reasoning about her shoe selection following the awards ceremony.
"Yellow's a happy color," she explained to Entertainment Tonight. "I hardly ever wear yellow, but it had some rock and roll to it. And I had on heels with a gun and holster on them -- can we talk about that? Hot pink with a tiny gold pistol, I was like, 'Yes, these are the shoes!'"
Her stylist teased the heels on her Instagram account the night before the awards ceremony.
Lambert, who won Female Vocalist of the Year for the seventh consecutive year on Sunday, is an avowed lover of firearms and the Second Amendment. Her songs "Gunpowder and Lead" and "Time To Get A Gun" are perhaps the greatest evidence of that.
In an April 2013 interview with The Boot, she hinted at her concealed handgun permit: "Obviously, I have my concealed handgun carry license, I'm pro on guns and I'm a hunter, so for me, that's what I use guns for, protection and hunting. I've always been that way, it's the way I grew up." In a recent interview in a fashion magazine, she affirmed her support for true gun safety.
It's refreshing to see an entertainer like Miranda Lambert embrace her country roots and display her love of firearms on the red carpet. I think I speak for most, if not all, gun girls that we would figuratively kill for those shoes if they didn't break our budget.
