A recently-surfaced video shows how easy it is to get a supposedly-secure gun safe unlocked with a paperclip.
A lot of stock has been put into gun safes, especially with gun laws constantly in flux, and gun safety an ever-increasing concern for but pro- and opponents.
That's why when a video like the one below is published, there's more than a little eyebrow raising going on in the shooting community.
The Vimeo channel "Handgun Safe Research" published the video, showing just how simple it is to crack the door open without ever using any of the fingerprint or bypass key processes. Some seemingly unnecessary holes in the side of the safe make it accessible, and quite frankly flawed.
If we're being honest, this could be a big, impactful revelation for one of the few companies producing truly high-tech weapon safes. Fingerprints and biometric identification remains a frontrunner in terms of methodology, but this video is more than a little harmful.
