Great explanation and demo to show the effects of each choke at 20 yards on the shotgun patterning. Choosing the right shotgun choke for your type of hunting is critical but is also determined by your choice and skill as a shooter.
For waterfowl in the fall, I typically use a modified cylinder as I am not usually shooting past 30 yards on incoming birds. There are guys who I hunt with under the same conditions who use full choke as they are very good wing shooters. For spring turkey hunting, where you will be shooting on ideally a stationary bird, you will want a full or an extra-full turkey choke.
