During the Vietnam War, soldiers trusted the Colt .45.
The Vietnam Veterans Tribute Colt .45 Pistol will be a very limited-edition release, with only 500 created. The pistols feature the artwork of Al Alexander, who served in the Vietnam War. Many of his paintings reflect his service during the war, which makes the images fitting for this tribute pistol.
The left side of the slide features four paintings of Alexander’s: “Heavy Weight Contenders,” “Delta Dragon Ship,” “Red LZ” and “Lonely Point
The right side features “Another Day at the Office,” “Double Trouble” and “Ringside for a Fast Mover” by Alexander.
According to America Remembers, there wasn’t much an American soldier or marine could trust in Vietnam, but he could trust his weapon.
The very limited edition Vietnam Veterans Tribute Colt .45 Pistol was authorized by the Army Historical Foundation.
