A man attaches tracks and skis to a smart car, just because he can.
Ottawa mechanic Tod Anderson came up with a crazy idea to convert a smart car into a snowmobile, and it makes for one interesting and truly Canadian vehicle!
Anderson's custom creation utilizes ATV treads and custom-built skis. His unique smart car was something of a secret until a photo of it ended up going viral online. It only took Anderson a month and a half to come up with a working version of his vision, which he estimates cost around $7,000.
The only downside of the smart snowmobile? With the treads and skis, it isn't street legal anymore. So much for making an easier commute to work on those snowy Canadian mornings. But at least he's got an awesomely cool and one-of-a-kind snowmobile!
