Bobcats can catch a lot of prey that seem to be pretty fast, like rabbits and even small deer. I'm not sure what the shooter was using, but the shot that the bobcat "dodged" was a tracer round.
Bobcats can be tough enough to hunt as fair game, but if they're going to start to side-step our bullets and arrows, we might as well give up pursuing them, right?
