'Buck Norris,' the Famed Bend, Oregon Mule Deer, Hit By Car [VIDEO]
The well-known city limits mule deer, known as "Buck Norris," was struck by an automobile and confirmed dead on Friday.
Buck Norris was estimated around 9 or 10 years old with a long history in the town of Bend, Oregon. On Friday, he was hit by a car on 3rd Street in Bend, and was killed.
Here's a report on the incident, showing just how famous this deer was to the outdoorsmen of the area.
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed his death after the carcass was discovered. The buck had an ear tag (#35), which was put on by ODFW last year after the buck was detangled from some heavy wire.
Unfortunately, vehicle-wildlife collisions are all too common and this buck's city limit protection ultimately became his downfall.
