This leucistic cow elk certainly had trouble blending in with the rest of the herd.
Yellowstone National Park is known for its amazing animal populations. Last summer this awesome footage of a leucistic cow elk was filmed and uploaded to youtube by Steve Rupno.
As you can see the animal looks to be an albino; however, on a closer look it is determined to be a victim of leucism instead.

Leusism is a condition that results in the partial loss of pigmentation in an animal. This creates a white, pale, or patchy coloration to the skin, hair, feathers, scales or cuticle, but not the eyes.
This differs from albinism due to the fact that it is caused by a reduction in multiple pigment categories and not just melanin.
