What happens when a turkey hunter sees a black bear, but the bear doesn't see him?
YouTube user Colton White posted this video he shot while turkey hunting in Centre County, Pennsylvania. A news videographer by trade, White quickly seized an opportunity to record a wild black bear wandering past him.
But the bear noticed the hunter's decoys, and they were apparently lifelike enough to spook the bruin into sprinting right past the camera.
From the video's description:
I was feeling great, getting some great video and then he stopped. I never expected him to spook from the decoys, let alone come blazing by me just 6 feet away. Needless to say, I was shocked by his reaction of the decoys. For a brief moment I was not sure what to do, but hoping that he would not notice me, I did what I always do behind the camera, followed the action.
A black bear isn't all that odd of a sighting in the woods, but one that acts like that? That's a little strange.
