Bassmaster Pro Mike Iaconelli Will Launch Live-Streaming Show

Eight-time Bassmaster champion Mike Iaconelli is launching “Ike Live!” a new live-streaming Internet television series.

Iaconelli, known simply as “Ike” in the Bassmaster world, will kick off the new show on February 10, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EST. “Ike Live!” will be a two-hour, live streaming show highlighting tips, guest interviews, recent tournament results and hot topics in the fishing world.

Planned segments include The Casting Couch, where he will interview special guests and fellow anglers. Fish Soup will featured Ike and his guest critique fishing videos. Off The Hook will include fishing tips, and Fish Heads is a call-in segment where he will respond to fan questions and comments.

Who is Mike Iaconelli?

Who is Mike Iaconelli?Originally from South Philadelphia, Iaconelli began fishing in tournaments after high school, joined the pro-am circuit in 1992 and turned pro in 2000.

He won the 2003 Bassmaster Classic and has since tallied Bassmaster Elite, Classic, and Open championships, earning over $2 million in prize money along the way.

Fishing trivia and upcoming events round out the offerings from “Ike Live!”

“This live web cast is a great way for me to stay in touch with fans,”said Iaconelli on his website.”I get Twitter and Facebook posts every day asking for tips and advice, and it’s tough to try and answer them all. With “Ike Live!”, I can answer some of them and talk to fans directly. This kind of interaction is key and we can have a lot of fun doing it!”

The show will be entirely free and available to anyone with an Internet connection. Viewers who miss the live show can watch previous episodes on the same website.

Iaconelli anticipates producing one show per month, with varying dates to work around his Bassmaster schedule.

A polarizing figure on the pro bass fishing tour, Iaconelli and his antics have been representing the new generation of enthusiastic and skilled anglers. His animated and passionate reactions to catching (or failing to catch) big bass have made him a crowd favorite for some and an annoyance for others. Break dancing on board a bass boat and screaming at the top of your lungs after landing a keeper will do that.
