This is not what you'd expect while using a topwater frog for bass.
An amazing bass fishing video has been making the rounds all across social media since the end of August. As you're about to see, a bass fisherman was using a topwater frog when he hooked into what he thought was huge bass. As it turned out, it was an enormous snapping turtle that took his lure just like a bass.
You gotta to see this for yourself.
That must have been some real shallow water where that guy was casting. I suppose that turtle was just mudded in right below the surface, and the fisherman casted right on top if it. Seeing this video sort of got me thinking... what's the strangest thing you've caught by accident while fishing for something else?
One time, out in the salt, I hooked a pelican. It took off, and I was fighting it like I was flying a kite.
Looking back in hindsight, I'd take my chances with the bird rather than fighting a snapping turtle like the one in that video. That's how you screw around and a lose a finger!
