This baby fox sure got lucky.
A small group of construction workers did the right thing when they found a four-month-old baby fox stuck in a mud pit on their work site.
Quickly, the workers sprung into action, freeing the exhausted baby fox from its almost certain death.
Once rescued, the workers raced him to an animal hospital to be checked out.
After a quick check-up and some scrubbing in the tub, the mud-soaked animal turned back into a baby fox instead of the mud-monster it easily could have been presumed to be.
Unfortunately, a lot of animal encounters with man-made creations, such as the water-filled foundation to the house that these workers were working on, don't end as well as they did for this baby fox.
Because of these good wildlife samaritans, this little fox can live on to get itself into more trouble a little later on.
