Doug cut his teeth fishing for trout in the cold water streams of upstate New York, and learned to hunt in the pine forests and river bottoms of south Georgia. He is now back in the field after a 25 year hiatus. Besides raising an eight year old boy, he writes freelance and tries to keep the freezer full of game. You can find him on the saltwater flats with a fly rod or in the backwoods with a bow or gun. Either one he is at his best outside.
