What's the best wild hog control method? Women hunters, it turns out.
While the U.S. is being overrun by approximately 5 million wild hogs, a similar problem is popping up in Australia and neighboring New Zealand.
However, they've found a unique solution. Women hunters are increasingly tackling the problem head on. The sport of women's hog hunting has caught on so much that there is now a magazine dedicated to it.
The magazine, "Chicks Smashing Grunters," highlights stories from women hunters who pursue these deadly animals with such enthusiasm.
Its latest cover girl, Tegan Stanley, told Daily Mail Australia that she isn't scared of the dangerous wild hogs, despite the terrible damage the pigs can inflict. She stated:
My partner reckons that I've got more guts than a lot of the blokes out there which is good. I have no hesitation in running and grabbing a pig.
The Daily Mail also commented on the trend, stating:
They are the smart, brave and often beautiful women who love nothing more than posing with a 100kg wild boar slung across their backs or lying dead at their feet.
