Pro bass angler Gerald Swindle barrels through heavy weeds at high speeds.
When the fishing is slow, bass anglers have been known to goof off and show off to keep things interesting. When Gerald Swindle meets a thick mat of vegetation that appears to block his path to the secret fishing hole, he says "No water, No problem!"
Gerald "G-man" Swindle was brought up in the Deep South and his accent proves it. Gerald Swindle is without a doubt the funniest man in fishing, and also one of the best anglers on tour as proven by his 2004 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year title. He also appears on an archery show on national television as a co-host.
As the angler barrels through heavy weeds at high speeds in his Triton boat, he sees a clearing, a light at the end of the tunnel if you will, just before the boat bogs down, bringing their joyride to a hault. As his partner is filming, he takes a moment to ask, "Is there anything you'd like to say to the camera?" To which G-man replies,
I always wanted to fish, right here!"
"Who needs an airboat when we got a showboat?" says Swindle. As they take a moment to gather themselves, the driver backs the boat up and powers on through to open water. You'll have to see the video to believe how far they make it in thick vegetation, and how brave (or maybe stupid) they are for forging through to the other side. Either way, it's worthy watching for laughs.
