A couple turns old fishing line from cannery into cool pieces of art.
Anita and Robert Shane live at a decommissioned cannery on Kodiak Island in Alaska. After the stressful closing and failed reopening of the business in 1997 the couple decided to quit smoking.
Their were tons of various fishing line left at the cannery and they began tying it into knots as a way to keep their hands busy and their minds off smoking. They didn't realize it then, but that fishing line would soon turn into their failed cannery into a new business.
Without a doubt, that's one of the smartest and most creative ways of using old fishing gear we've ever seen.
