Sometimes the predator becomes the prey.
In a recent post by Kentucky Afield, a mature, Kentucky bald eagle gets a little defensive when a coyote enters its territory. The coyote, a predator across most of the continental U.S., is often the one hunting. However, in these photos by Jim Johnson, this eagle thought this coyote walked a little too close to the nest.

Clearly from the pictures, the coyote is dashing for its life. I'm sure it's not used to being chased, much less chased from the air. As is apparent from the photos, the bald eagle contains razor-sharp talons that can snatch prey at high speeds. This coyote is essentially a sitting duck hoping only to maneuver away from the swift bird.
