Looking for some inspiration to go fishing? These three pro-anglers offer some great advice.
What better way to learn about fishing than from those who do it for a living!
As anglers, we constantly have to learn and adjust our methods to maximize our chances of catching a fish of a lifetime. Whether it is having a good attitude, using a certain bait or rod, or practice, learning from the pros can be beneficial.
Here are three things we can learn from three different pro-anglers:
1. Have the right bait at the right time to maximize your fishing catches.
"The key to fishing is, you gotta have the right bait at the right time to catch the fish." - Darcy of Darcizzle Offshore said while fishing for tarpon on June 23, 2016.
2. Any opportunity to go fishing should be prized like a trophy.
"What we fail to recognize sometimes is for an outdoorsman a trophy is what you make of it during that moment. The moment for me as a person and a professional angler has multiple meanings and I cherish each and every moment I live and breathe, " FLW fisherman Chris Flint wrote in "Fishing in the Moment".
3. Every fishing trip is a whole new adventure worth diving into.
"You never know what you're gonna get, and that's what keeps you coming back every time." - Peter Miller, professional angler and host of Bass2Billfish on NBC Sports, said to Miami New Times last month.
John Buchan once wrote, "The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope."
Learning from professionals can allow us to better understand the art of angling. Although they are more likely to catch trophy fish, they too have bad days of fishing. They have successes and failures like the rest of us. Nevertheless,we can get inspired to become better anglers hearing from those who fish daily.
