Talk about a muskie hunter's dream! This clip needs to be seen to be believed.
We all know how hard it is to catch a muskie. Nicknamed "the fish of ten thousand casts," this top-of-the-food-chain freshwater predator is a target for only the most die-hard anglers. Catching a 50-inch fish is trophy status. How about putting two fish in the net, a combined 100 inches, at the very same time? Yep, it happened.
A couple of the Lindner boys, as well as Jason Aleshire, were fishing a western Minnesota lake last week. The fall time is your best bet for a big bite, but even these seasoned anglers weren't expecting what happened that day.
Aleshire is first up with a beautiful 51-inch fish. Moments later, Nick Lindner hooks up with a 49-inch muskie. That's when things get really interesting.
Here's the video:
Talk about an in-the-park home run! Incredible accomplishment and insane footage of an unbelievable feat.
Now, to top that, let's go for 150 inches in the net at once. I bet these boys could do it.
