Did you hear the one about the bull moose that visited the mall in North Dakota?
No, it’s a not a joke. It happened last week in the state capital of Bismarck. Besides a mall, the moose checked out a few back yards. He even toured the grounds of the state capitol.
Call it youth gone wild. Bismarck Animal Control officers estimate the young bull moose to be about a year old.
Officials say this is the time of year that mother moose send their young away—basically kick them out of the house. Police warned those interested in seeing the bull moose to keep back, as the young moose was stressed and volatile. In the video, you can see the moose run and kick, startling some folks in what looks like a grocery store parking lot.
Officials say the moose stayed on the capitol grounds and probably spent the night. Most likely, the large visitor left the city when he was more comfortable… and sick of politicians.
