Wyoming hunting applications will only be available online starting in January 2014.
According to the Rawlins Daily Times, Wyoming hunting applications will require online registration, a step that many hunters have already taken. Those who are unfamiliar with using the Internet or without access will need to overcome those hurdles to apply for a Wyoming hunting tag in the new year.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s website hosts the applications, and all nine WGFD offices are ready and wiling to offer assistance.
There are other private, third-party services that will also help with the application process, including hunting trip outfitters.
Deadlines for applying for specific licenses will remain the same, and the non-resident elk and resident spring wild turkey applications will be the first to employ the new online process, with a deadline of January 31, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. local time. To see a complete list of deadlines for Wyoming hunting applications, visit the Game and Fish Department’s site and click on “Hunting,” then “Plan Your Hunt.”
