Would You Take the ‘Lick a Fish’ Challenge?

lick a fish

As if fishing weren’t difficult enough, a few YouTube anglers decided to take part in a “lick a fish” challenge.

Here’s the setup: YouTuber 1Rod1ReelFishing entered a bass fishing contest with some friends. Besides trying to win prize money, the two teams challenged each other. The losing team would lick a fish—the longest fish in the live well.

(Short attention span? You must not fish too often… Fast forward to around the 12:50 mark for the fish-licking in all its disgustingness).

Most of the video is fishing “action,” as they caught everything but bass. Between the two teams, one bass was caught.

That meant 1Rod1ReelFishing and his partner had to lick the longest fish in their friend’s live well: a pickerel.

“There is the fish licking challenge,” 1Rod1ReelFishing says after licking the pickerel (there’s a phrase I never thought I’d write in my journalism career). “Challenge your friends if you enjoyed that.”

Um, thank you, but, no, I will not be taking part in the lick a fish challenge.
