World’s Largest Carnivorous Plant Catches a Sheep

A sheep farmer in Ireland has a theory about bramble.

In his opinion, bramble is a carnivorous plant. Watch this video to see what he’s talking about.

Okay, so the bramble didn’t catch the lamb and swallow it. But, you can see the farmer’s point.

He says his animals in Ireland get caught by the bramble and eventually give up and wait to die. Then the nutrients from the decaying animal feed the plant.

Carnivorous? Debatable. Good at snagging sheep? Definitely. Look how the bramble is entangled in the wool. Without help, that lamb was a goner.

Lamb stew for the plant? Well, maybe not.
