A bill allowing people to hunt on Sundays will be voted on in the House.
North Carolina is one of 11 states that restricts hunting on Sundays. But that may change since a House committee voted on Wednesday on a bill that would allow hunters to use firearms on their own land or on private land with permission.
The bill’s sponsor, Rep Jimmy Dixon says that people should have the right to hunt on their own land all days of the week. Opponents to the bill say that gunfire on Sundays will disrupt church services and is disrespectful for worshipers.
The bill now moves to the House floor.
