Is it possible to shoot another bullet into a live cartridge to fire that cartridge?
FullMag is loaded up with a .50 BMG rifle targeting a .50 BMG cartridge.
Witness a bullet slam into a live cartridge and see if it actually fires that targeted cartridge.
There has been a question that has been asked for perhaps over a century. Will a bullet fired into the back of a live cartridge set it off?
FullMag decided to try this urban myth out for himself. With a live .50 BMG cartridge secured as a target he lines up the shot with a .50 BMG rifle. The massive bullet plows through the back of the cartridge case and keeps on going in a hurry. The bullet in the targeted cartridge never leaves the casing.
In this case the live cartridge did not fire when the bullet hits it in the backside. This myth might have been split wide open in this case.
