Who doesn’t love Mac and Cheese? Here’s a wild game recipe that’s sure to satisfy any and all taste buds.
Mac and cheese is definitely a comfort food. The gooey goodness of cheese and noodles is a staple for many of us, reason being is, it just tastes so darn good. Here’s a twist on the everyday version, with your favorite wild game meat thrown into the mix. All we can say is…yummy!
We recently featured Courtney Sweetser Smith in our ’14 Instagram Huntresses and the Big Bucks They’ve Harvested This Fall.’ Not only can she tag out on giant bucks, but she knows her way around the kitchen with the best of them. Courtney put together this great video recipe for her YouTube channel, adapted from a version found on Pinterest.
Although Courtney uses elk meat in her recipe, as she states, any and all wild game can be used.
1½ lbs lean ground wild game (elk, venison, etc.)
1 small white onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
6 cups of strong chicken stock
1 cup of grated carrots
1 tsp basil
1½ cups of whole milk
16 ounces of cubed Velveeta processed Cheese
1½ to 2 cups of macaroni noodles

Just imagine the delectable scents wafting through the house while that crock pot is simmering! We can almost guarantee this yummy dish will become a new family favorite.
