White Lions Are Close to Extinction But They Are Still the Cutest [VIDEO]

White lion numbers are dwindling at 13 left in the wild in the entire world. And this video proves we need more baby white lions in the future.

White lions are found in the Greater Timbavati Region in South Africa. And that is the only place you can find them on Earth.

Here is a reason we need to protect this rare creature.

White lions are not albino but are white due to a genetic mutation. They were technically extinct, since none were living in the wild, until the Global While Lion Protection Trust reintroduced them to the wild in the Timbavati region.

Other species that have this genetic mutation include the Kermode, or Spirit, bear and the white tiger.

But all the technicalities of the genetic mutations of the white lion are overshadowed and forgotten when you watch that little guy run up to you over and over. It just becomes the cutest animal on Earth.
