If angler Chris Ellburg didn’t have his camera with him, his friends would never have believed this story ever happened.
While fishing on Belton Lake in Texas, Ellburg caught a white bass that didn’t want to be released. He made a number of attempts to release the fish, but it swam back to his feet every time. The fish even allowed Ellburg to pick it up more than once. Take a look.

Ellburg described the experience to GrindTV.
“He swam around me for a minute then between my feet. I reached down and he came up to my hand. Then he swam off about 10 feet then swam back. After he had done it three times, I said to myself ‘nobody will ever believe this.’ I was able to get out of the water, grab my phone and wade back in and he came right back to me and that’s when I started filming.”
Why do you think this fish was behaving strangely?
