Weird Fish Caught off the Shores of —Surprise!— Australia

Daily Mail

It’s the color of flesh. It’s bug-eyed. It has razor-sharp teeth.

Of course it was caught in Australian waters off of the state of Victoria.

Endo’s Goosefish, that’s what experts say the weird fish might be. In other words, it could be a “monkfish,” part of the anglerfish family that lives in deep water.

The South East Trawl Fishing Industry Association says the creature was caught buy a fishing trawler.

The species can grow up to about 15 inches. And those teeth? Prey doesn’t stand a chance once the fish gets hold of it.
