John Rigby & Co. decided to make a reproduction of Jim Corbett’s rifle. Watch how they did it.
Famous for his tiger and leopard hunting exploits, Jim Corbett is generally considered one of the best hunters of all time. Well, John Rigby & Co. recently purchased Jim Corbett’s rifle that was presented to him for shooting the man-eating tigress of Champawhat.
In honor of Jim Corbett, they are making a reproduction of the rifle and are donating it to Safari Club International. Check out the video to get a glimpse into how the gunmakers at John Rigby & Co. made their copy of Jim Corbett’s Rifle.
The rifle, which is chambered in .275 Rigby (7mm Mauser), will be on display at the Safari Club International Convention in Las Vegas 3-6 February 2016. It will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Saturday.
If you have a burning desire to own this beautiful reproduction of Jim Corbett’s rifle, you’d better have your checkbook ready because I’m sure it will go for a pretty penny.
