Walleye fishermen on Canada’s Eagle Lake run square into a hungry 48” muskie with an appetite for a crawler harness!
Anyone who’s fished long enough for pike and muskie will tell you that incidental catches can be the order of the day sometimes.
These guys fished all morning for muskies and didn’t get a strike, but when they changed up for walleyes and began trolling with a crawler/spinner harness… Wham!
Now, raise your hand if you don’t give darn WHAT you catch them on!
If they start biting corn chips and salsa, then that’s what I’m throwing.
Eagle Lake is just across the border from Minnesota in Ontario, Canada.
It wouldn’t be the first time some of us have caught one of the Esox cousins on a worm, especially if that worm is hooked up to a spinner!
It is what it is, as they say. Just hook up, get it to the boat, and take a quick picture before releasing it and carry on.
