You can pull them of the ice head first, or pull them out by the tail. However you do it, get that carp out of that hole!
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but a big carp will have you scrambling to grab him any way you can.
If he sticks his tail out at you, then by all means, grab and pull.
Sometimes fishermen have to do what they have to do. This isn’t the first guy to pull a big carp out of the ice and he isn’t the first guy to do it tail first.
There’s been some strange things that came out of the ice, reverse-tail carp notwithstanding.
I think he did the right thing by using his hands, I’m just glad that fish doesn’t have teeth in its backside.
