Watch as This Drone Rescues Swimmers Off the Australia Coast

A couple of teens got in trouble in the water off the Australian coast, but this video shows a drone rescuing the swimmers.

Australian authorities recently released this video showing a Westpac Little Ripper Lifesaver drone rescuing two stranded teenagers off Lennox Head. Apparently, the two swimmers got caught in a rip tide, so lifeguards at the beach launched the drone which located the swimmers in distress and dropped an inflatable flotation device.

Check out the video to see the drone rescue firsthand.

Is that cool or what?

You can't hear it in the video, but the drone said "Come with me if you want to live" as it dropped the inflatable life raft.

This may very well be the first documented instance of a drone rescuing a swimmer. However, I seriously doubt that it will be the last.
