As fishermen we never turn up a chance to latch into a big one, but this marlin is making us feel small.
Here’s what it looks like when a top-level predator has a hankering for some mahi-mahi.
Have you ever seen a 500-pound blue marlin leap five feet out of the water?! It’s easy to see how a 25-pound dorado could get his frame about 10 feet high!
Marlin are king leapers and can probably come out of the water even further than that.
Costa Rica is a prime location for this kind of fishing, as seen in the video, we just didn’t know that a 25-pounder was simply “bait” down there.
